Trans City / Dialectic figures

Hispanic migrants have adapted to American cities by ‘making the home in someone else’s environment’. This
phenomenon is visible in all cities dominated by Hispanic community as is the case in Mission District. This housing
project aims to be developed on the basis of these cultural and social attributes.
‘Dialectic figures ‘refer to building’s contrasting relation to the interior world and exterior world. The exterior blends
with mission district’s architectural language while interior corresponds to constituency’s needs by facilitating
public, semi-public engagement at varying levels and scales.
