Undergraduate thesis, IIT- Hyderabad focused on designing a technological institute pioneering in sustainability. The scope of the thesis includes campus planning of academic sector, overall zoning, and detailing of the central library,lecture hall complex, and administration department.
Sustainability techniques such as retention ponds and bio-swales were proposed to address issues of water scarcity in the region. The road layouts are designed so as to reduce vehicular movement and encourage sustainable mobility on campus. The campus is designed to accommodate renewable energy technologies,
recycling facilities and campus farming in such a way that encourages community engagement at various levels while keeping campusenvironmentally friendly.
